The essay is about Athens vs Sparta, and is basically talking about how their goverment, political views and miliary status helped lead up to the Peloponnesian War. Then I am going to briefly describe the War. But I don’t know what to write for my thesis statement….I know a thesis statement is like my opinion. But I dont’ know what to opinionate about lol. Please give me some examples of some good thesis statements please! *I vote for best answers.

First of all, I am a fairly proficient writer. In the span of one hour, I managed to write a twelve paged paper concerning the many coinciding themes of the Romantic Era and how they related to Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. The only problem is, when I write, I tend to write in Prose.

I suppose it stems from my avid love for poetry and well written books. I read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy when I was twelve. I finished all the Nancy Drew books while I was still in elementary school. And now, I find myself drawn to write essays like I would a great work of fiction. What would you suggest?

Is their any sort of tip or website you can send me to? How do you tell the difference between what is too much or too little originality? I wrote the terror and mystery hails Shelly as a literary genius… perhaps a little too liberal on the complements, but my verb apparently, is not acceptable. Only people can hail and there is no such thing as personification in college writing. Advice, please!
